You cannot play waterpolo without training. It’s not like kicking or throwing a ball on the playground. You need regular practice for this sport.

We are waiting for sportsmen who come to 2-3 trainings a week and play in the constantly evolving Budapest Waterpolo Championship, but of course we provide opportunities for development for those who only want to come to trainings and try themselves. If you already have a team but you are an ELTE student, you can apply because you can play with first class players in the university championship, a remarkable event of the federation.

Every year we enter the OBII and Budapest Championships, and this year our team will start its second season in the adult second division, OBI/B. With five training sessions a week, you can try your hand at water polo if you just want to play at a hobby level or if you want to play this great sport at a more serious level! Whether you play for us or already have a club team, you can represent ELTE at the now traditional Hungarian University-Fellowship National Championships (MEFOB) and the Carpathian Basin Universities Cup (KEK), because your student ID is your playing permit! In 2014, we marched unstoppably to the final of the MEFOB, where we came away with a silver medal, and in the KEK, ELTE came second in the first-ever water polo tournament. Next spring you can be part of ELTE's sporting successes!
