KEK RUN 2021
ELTE and the ELTE University Athletics Club of Budapest (BEAC) announces the KEK Run 2021 (KEK = Cup of Carpathian Basin Universities).The KEK Run will take place the first time in the beautifully restored Orczy-park on 16 October 2021. Amateur and professional runners are both welcome. The event is sponsored by the MVM Paks Nuclear Power Plant Ltd.
COME, AND RUN WITH US AT THE KEK RUN 2021. WHY?
- You can support a noble issue with your entry.
- You can compete within the 5.5, or 10 km run, and the 10 km category is available also in pairs.
- It does not matter if you are a beginner or pro, participation is recommended for everyone.
DATE OF EVENT
- 9:00 am 16 October 2021 – 5.5 km single
- 10:30 am 16 October 2021 – 10 km single/ 10 km relay in pairs
VENUE
University of Public Service – Ludovika Campus (1083 Budapest, Ludovika tér 2.) – area with trees
Starting and end point: University of Public Service – Ludovika Campus next to the Orczy Adventure Park
Route info: The surface is 100% asphalt, so asphalt compatible shoes are recommended. Total ascent is minimal. Refreshment points will be available every 1 km.
Team info: 10 km distance is available in pairs as a relay race: 5.5 + 4.5 km

PRIZES
- 5.5 and 10 km singles: prizes for the first 3 female and male finalists.
- 10 km realy in pairs: prizes for the first 3 female and male pair finalists.

RUN FOR A NOBLE ISSUE
With the entry fee, every participant supports the charity fund for a Hungarian high school (Munkács 3. sz. ll. Rákóczi Ferenc High School) in Kárpátalja region, Ukraine.
